Rugby Club has reason to celebrate as two of its players, Blake Mahovic and Joshua Michalik, have been selected to play for the Canadian Rugby League squad, also known as the Wolverines. The two players showcased their skills on the field as the Wolverines played against the United States in Florida, with Canada emerging victorious with a final score of 22-10.

Blake Mahovic played full-back for the team and scored the opening try of the game, an impressive feat as he ran the full length of the field. Blake hails from Egremont, Cumbria and has been playing with the Axemen for six years. His selection to the national team is a testament to his hard work, dedication and talent on the rugby field.
Joshua Michalik played center for the Wolverines and has been a part of the Axemen for four years. Originally from Barrie, Ontario, Joshua has proven himself to be an asset to the Axemen and now to the national team as well. His selection to the Wolverines is well-deserved and a testament to his commitment to the sport.
The Axemen Rugby Club is proud of Blake and Joshua's accomplishments and wishes them all the best as they continue to represent their country on the rugby field. The World Cup qualifiers, which will take place later this year in Jamaica, will provide a further opportunity for the two players to showcase their talents and make their mark on the international rugby stage.
